01Mining EngineerLead open-pit production planning, field engineering, grade-control coordination and safe, efficient mining.
Responsibilities
- Prepare annual, monthly and weekly mine plans covering pit advance, haul roads, waste dumps and stockpiles.
- Manage drilling, loading, hauling, dumping and selective mining while tracking production, dilution, recovery and cost KPIs.
- Coordinate grade control, ore classification and plant-feed plans with geology, survey, processing and laboratory teams.
- Monitor contractor performance, work quality and schedules; lead field coordination and corrective actions.
- Implement safety, environmental and regulatory requirements, including risk assessment and emergency preparedness.
- Prepare operating and technical reports and support expansion and continuous-improvement projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or above in mining engineering or a related discipline.
- At least five years of open-pit production or technical-management experience; African project experience is an advantage.
- Sound knowledge of mine planning, grade control, cost management and contractor supervision.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD; Surpac, Micromine or Datamine capability is preferred.
- Willingness to work at a mine site, with strong safety awareness, execution and cross-cultural communication skills.
- Professional working English; Chinese communication skills are an advantage.
02Mine Survey EngineerMaintain accurate mine-survey systems for pit design, setting-out, boundary control and volume reconciliation.
Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain horizontal and vertical control networks and survey pits, roads, dumps and stockpiles.
- Verify licence boundaries, set out engineering works and mining limits, and complete as-built surveys.
- Calculate mining, stripping, stockpile and construction volumes and reconcile them with operating, geological and finance data.
- Maintain controlled, accurate and traceable survey data, drawings and records.
- Operate and maintain total stations, GNSS and drone-survey equipment, including calibration and quality checks.
- Comply with local surveying regulations, site safety rules and project controls.
Requirements
- Diploma or degree in surveying, geomatics, GIS, mine surveying or a related discipline.
- At least three years of survey experience in mining or major civil works.
- Proficiency with total stations and GNSS; drone-survey experience is preferred.
- Competence in AutoCAD, GIS or survey-processing software.
- A precise, data-driven approach with strong field coordination and reporting skills.
- Willingness to work long term at a mine site in Nigeria.
03Blasting EngineerPlan and supervise safe, compliant blasting while improving fragmentation and controlling operational risk.
Responsibilities
- Design drill patterns, charging plans, initiation systems and exclusion zones based on geology and production needs.
- Supervise charging, tie-in, clearance, firing and post-blast inspection under strict permit and safety controls.
- Analyse fragmentation, toes, oversize, vibration, flyrock and blasting cost and optimise blast performance.
- Control explosives and detonator planning, storage, issue, transport, return and statutory records.
- Lead risk assessments, safety training, emergency drills and contractor blasting reviews.
- Coordinate schedules with mining, drilling, survey, geology and community-engagement teams.
Requirements
- Diploma or degree in mining, blasting engineering or a related field.
- At least five years of open-pit blast design and field-supervision experience.
- A valid blasting qualification, or the ability to meet all Nigerian licensing and registration requirements.
- Strong knowledge of blast safety, explosives control, vibration management and incident prevention.
- Demonstrated field leadership, risk judgement and contractor-management capability.
- Professional working English and readiness for a mine-site environment.
04Finance & Accounting OfficerSupport compliant mine, plant and trading operations through accurate accounting, controls and reporting.
Responsibilities
- Manage general ledger, receivables, payables, expenses, payroll and month-end closing with complete supporting records.
- Perform bank, cash, vendor and customer reconciliations and resolve outstanding items.
- Support mine, plant and trading cost accounting, budget tracking and variance analysis.
- Apply payment, contract, procurement and treasury controls and strengthen internal-control processes.
- Assist with Nigerian tax and statutory filings, audits and group financial reporting.
- Provide management with cash-flow, cost, budget and operating analysis.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, audit or a related discipline.
- At least three years of accounting experience; mining, manufacturing or commodity-trading experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of IFRS and Nigerian tax and statutory-reporting requirements.
- ACCA, ICAN, CPA or an equivalent professional qualification is an advantage.
- Advanced Excel and accounting-software skills with sound analytical and reporting ability.
- High integrity, attention to detail, cross-cultural communication and confidentiality.
05Flotation Plant ManagerLead safe production, technical performance, cost control and team development across a multi-metal flotation plant.
Responsibilities
- Manage crushing, grinding, classification, flotation, thickening, filtration, tailings and plant utilities.
- Set production plans and control throughput, grade, recovery, reagent use, energy, equipment efficiency and unit cost.
- Lead test work and process optimisation and resolve variable-feed, concentrate-quality and tailings-performance issues.
- Coordinate shutdowns, spares, inspections and preventive maintenance to improve availability and reliability.
- Maintain strong safety, environmental, tailings, occupational-health, quality and compliance controls.
- Build and develop local production, technical and maintenance teams with clear standards and performance systems.
- Support design review, installation, commissioning, ramp-up and acceptance of new or expanded flotation capacity.
Requirements
- Diploma or degree in mineral processing, beneficiation or a related discipline.
- At least eight years of concentrator experience, including three years in production or plant management.
- Management experience in lepidolite or tantalum-niobium beneficiation is strongly preferred.
- Strong multi-metal grinding, flotation, dewatering, reagent-regime and quality-control knowledge.
- New-plant commissioning, ramp-up or major process-improvement experience is an advantage.
- Demonstrated safety leadership, cost awareness, team development and cross-functional coordination.
- Willingness to work long term in Nigeria.
06Minerals Laboratory AnalystDeliver reliable sample preparation, assay and quality control for ores, concentrates and tailings.
Responsibilities
- Receive, prepare, split, retain and track ore, concentrate, tailings and process samples under standard procedures.
- Perform analysis for lithium, tantalum, niobium, tungsten, tin and other relevant elements or minerals.
- Operate available XRF, AAS, ICP or titration methods and equipment as applicable to the laboratory.
- Apply QA/QC using certified standards, blanks, duplicates and spikes and investigate out-of-control results.
- Maintain calibration, reagents, consumables, routine equipment checks and laboratory safety.
- Issue timely reports and communicate results to geology, mining, processing and trading teams.
Requirements
- Diploma or degree in analytical or applied chemistry, geochemistry, mineral processing or a related field.
- At least three years in a minerals laboratory, plant laboratory or third-party testing facility.
- Multi-metal assay experience covering lithium, tantalum-niobium or tungsten minerals is preferred.
- Sound knowledge of sample preparation, instrumental analysis, laboratory QA/QC and data traceability.
- Careful, data-focused work habits with strong safety and confidentiality awareness.
- Willingness to work in a mine-site or plant laboratory in Nigeria.
